Mit Patel, who is a dynamic and skillful eye specialist, started his journey in the medical field at Shree M.P. Shah Medical College, Jamnagar which is one of the oldest and most highly reputed government medical colleges of the Gujarat state. After completing his M.B.B.S., he subsequently went on to accomplish his M.S. Ophthalmology from the prestigious tertiary care hospital of the Indian Navy, INHS Asvini, Mumbai. Highly experienced teachers and the availability of the world-class infrastructure at the institute helped him a lot to sharpen his skills in the field of Ophthalmology.
By far, Dr. Mit Patel has successfully performed more than 8500 cataract surgeries and more than 1400 pterygium excision with autograft surgeries. He also has a vast experience in the diagnosis and management of diseases of the retina, (e.g. Diabetic retinopathy, Hypertensive retinopathy, ARMD) diseases of the cornea, and glaucoma.
